Byron is one of our pharmacy administration preceptors and has served as our pharmacy director since 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1987. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, waterfowl hunting and playing golf.
Niki Carver, PharmD

Niki is our emergency medicine preceptor and serves as the pharmacy residency program director. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 2001. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency and PGY2 pharmacy administration residency with Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2003. She has more than 20 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice with multiple achievements over the years. She has also completed the specialty certification program through the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Emergency Medicine. She is active in the Arkansas Association of Health-Systems Pharmacists (AAHP). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and playing tennis.

Aaron is our pharmacy administration, staffing and orientation preceptor and serves as our assistant director of pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 2006. Aaron is the go-to person for anything we need in the pharmacy. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting and playing golf.
Lynette Chastain, PharmD, BCACP

Lynette is our population health and ambulatory care preceptor and serves as assistant director of pharmacy for NEA Baptist Clinic. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy and has experience in retail pharmacy management and ambulatory care. Lynette is a graduate of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Comprehensive Medication Management Implementation Academy and is certified in tobacco treatment training and diabetes care. She works closely with outpatient providers, nurses and care coordinators to provide collaborative care for patients. She is passionate about optimizing medication to improve health outcomes and lifelong learning. Lynette enjoys being outdoors, reading, yoga, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Cameron Calhoun, PharmD
Clinical Coordinator, ICU Pharmacy Specialist

Professional Interests: Critical Care, Clinical Pharmacy Services and Management, and Experiential Education
Cameron is our critical care preceptor and serves as our clinical pharmacy specialist in critical care. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Harding University College of Pharmacy in 2012. In her current role she has been instrumental in the implementation and development of many critical care and hospital wide policies, protocols and order sets. She serves on several hospital committees including the system clinical pharmacy workgroup, system antimicrobial stewardship oversight and ICU committees. She has been our EPIC credentialed trainer since 2013. Additionally, she serves on the palliative care team where she assists in the individual management of patients. In her free time, Cameron enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and dogs.

Marvene is our ambulatory oncology preceptor and serves as a clinical pharmacist at NEA Cancer Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 2006. She completed her hematology/oncology pharmacy association (HOPA) certification in 2022.
Ashley Lawless, PharmD

Ashley is our internal medicine preceptor and serves as our clinical pharmacy specialist in internal medicine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2007. She has more than 16 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice and has worked in clinical areas of the hospital as well as oncology. She is HOPA certified in oncology, and she serves on a palliative care team. Ashley is involved with the medical residents and serves as a valuable resource during rounds allowing pharmacists to optimize their roles and improve their interprofessional interactions. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her children, family and friends.

Shaun is our inpatient staffing preceptor and serves as a staff pharmacist at NEA Baptist Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Science College of Pharmacy in 2012. Before transitioning to hospital pharmacy, Shaun spent 10 years in various roles in retail and pharmacy management. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
