If you are suffering from addiction, we can help you right now by providing comprehensive treatment for addiction and helping you get your life back.

Disorders Treated

Our addiction medicine program specializes in treating substance and alcohol use disorders such as:

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Opioid addiction
  • Addiction to tranquilizers, such as Valium and Xanax, and sedatives
  • Cocaine addiction
  • Marijuana addiction
  • Methamphetamine addiction
  • Nicotine addiction

Patients at Baptist’s hospitals who have addiction care needs can be immediately connected to an addiction medicine specialist, and a supporting team of physicians, therapists, social workers, care coordinators and recovery support specialists working together to help you overcome your addiction and regain control of your life. The Center of Excellence in Addiction Medicine also offers outpatient and virtual addiction treatment and we accept most forms of insurance, including Medicare, TennCare and private/commercial insurance.

Connecting You With Addiction Care

Baptist’s Center of Excellence in Addiction Medicine offers a quality program that provides immediate treatment - in the emergency room or hospital - for patients with substance and alcohol use disorders.

Specialized Addiction Programs and Services

Dual Diagnosis Treatment: Our services can address addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety or PTSD. By providing integrated care from psychiatrists and addiction specialists, we ensure both conditions are treated together, improving overall outcomes and supporting a more sustainable recovery.

Medication-Assisted Treatment: We offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using FDA-approved medications to eligible patients based on specific needs and circumstances. These medications help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier to maintain sobriety. MAT is combined with counseling and behavioral therapies to support comprehensive recovery from opioid and alcohol use disorders.

Collaborative Treatment Solutions

Our addiction medicine specialists will work with your physician to create coordinated, holistic treatment plans to address addiction, as well as your medical, behavioral health and social issues.

Continuous of Care

The addiction medicine specialists will stay with you throughout your treatment, even after you're discharged from the hospital or emergency room, providing continuous care and coordination with your doctor to treat the addiction and help prevent future relapses.
