The Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital features a pediatric emergency room, an advanced pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), spacious inpatient rooms, and outpatient diagnostics and surgeries.
Daily multidisciplinary rounds by our pediatric care team include not only nurses and physicians but also case managers, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, child life specialists, respiratory therapists and any subspecialists. Each patient’s care plan is discussed for updates and progress to maintain the focus on family- and patient-centered care.

Who Can Visit Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital?
Baptist is committed to the care and comfort of our patients and their need for visitors during this time to aid in the healing process.
Visitors will not be allowed in rooms of patients who have infectious or respiratory illnesses.
We will allow visitors in accordance with the following parameters:
- Hospital and emergency department patients may have two designated visitors.
- Patients undergoing surgery or a procedure may have two designated visitors before and immediately after the surgery/procedure.
- Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients may have two visitors who must be a parent or legal guardian.
- Minor patients may have two parents (or legal guardians) as visitors.
- Visitors must be 17 years of age or older.
Please note that all visitors must have none of the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, new onset of fatigue, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, headache, new loss of taste or smell; and have had no contact with known or suspected COVID-19 patients.

Parking at Our Children’s Hospital
Public parking is available in the lot on the east side of the pediatric hospital or in the parking garage behind the hospital.
Amenities
- Snack and drink machines are located on the ground floor across from the elevators in the Women’s Hospital lobby and at the north end of the Vines Café dining hall.
- The Daisy Groner chapel, located off the hospital's main lobby, is always open and provides a quiet place for prayer and meditation.
- The gift shop is stocked with a variety of snacks, candy, personal items, balloons, stuffed animals, baby items, picture frames, candles, seasonal gifts, and much more. All proceeds from the gift shop are invested back into our hospital.
Entering the Children's Hospital
Use the main entrance to the Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, located at the Humphreys Boulevard entrance. After hours from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the main entrance of the Women's Hospital is locked. Visitors wishing to enter the hospital will receive access through the Pediatric Emergency Room.
P.D.'s Perch Outpatient Diagnostic Testing
Our pediatric outpatient center features a child-friendly environment for patients from birth to age 17. Pediatric nurses, a pediatric anesthesiologist, pediatric radiologist and a certified child life specialist provide specialized, pediatric care and education. This diagnostic center features X-rays, CT or MRI scans, ultrasounds and lab draws.
Pediatric Emergency Department
The Pediatric Emergency Department is located off I-240 in the heart of Memphis. Staffed with pediatric emergency medicine doctors and specialty teams, the ED is open 24/7 to treat emergencies.
Pediatric Inpatient / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
The 12 bed inpatient and intensive care unit is located on the 2nd floor of the Children’s Hospital. It is a combined unit with spacious private rooms and continuous oxygen, heart and vitals monitoring. The inpatient playroom allows patients a break from their room and healing through play therapy.
