Obesity Services & Prevention Programs
What Is Obesity?
Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity rates in the U.S. have increased dramatically in the last 30 years. Today, one third of all American children are considered obese, developing adult diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Baptist is dedicated to improving health outcomes in our local communities, and we offer educational opportunities and weight loss programs for adults and children through informative classes that give families the obesity treatment and tools they need to build healthier lifestyles.
