Emergency Services

Baptist Leake offers acute care and swing bed services, as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP), MRI, vascular ultrasound, echocardiography, wound care and podiatry services. Our Level IV emergency room is staffed by qualified physicians and staff. We offer primary care services from three clinics located in Madden, Walnut Grove, and Carthage to meet many of your family’s health care needs. The Birthplace from Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson offers satellite services in Carthage. A board certified OB/GYN physician and nurse practitioner are on-site weekly supporting your prenatal care.

Senior Life Solutions

Baptist Leake's Senior Life Solutions Intensive Outpatient Program is a short-term, day program that provides support and treatment for adults age 55 and older who are facing emotional or mental difficulties. For some participants, this helps to maximize their own coping efforts by remaining close to their family and friends and staying in their familiar surroundings. For others, this type of program provides support while they work through family and/or emotional issues. Participants attend therapy groups during the day and return to their own residence each afternoon.

This program is designed for the older adult who requires more than regular outpatient counseling, but does not require inpatient treatment. Your loved one may benefit from the Senior Life Solutions program if he or she is experiencing any of the following:

Isolation from family/friends
Depression/Sadness
Feelings of worthlessness
Suicidal thoughts/behaviors
Crying spells
Sleeping too much/too little
Paranoia
Hallucinations/Delusions
Anxiousness/Worry
Memory loss
