As North Mississippi’s population continues to grow, Baptist DeSoto’s emergency department is expanding, as well, adding more specialties and advanced technology.

Conveniently located just off I-55, the emergency department at Baptist DeSoto delivers specialized care within reach of many North Mississippi communities.

Our growth

In the summer of 2018, our emergency department will double in size. We will have 55 treatment rooms — as well as newly renovated existing treatment areas and waiting rooms.

Recently added Obstetric ER staffed 24/7, 365 days a year by board-certified OB/GYN doctors, gives our expectant mothers added reassurance and support during a pregnancy emergency.

Advanced cardiovascular services with Stern Cardiovascular doctors and specialists. The comprehensive heart program and our emergency department are accredited by the American College of Cardiology (ACC). The ACC recently accredited Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto for its atrial fibrillation treatment services. Baptist is also ACC accredited in our treatment of heart failure and as a chest pain center.
