Baptist's patient care assistants (PCA) are essential to our patient care team and work directly with our registered nurses to deliver quality care and comfort to patients in a variety of hospital settings. This position is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students and those seeking to establish a career in the health care field.
Certification as a PCA is required for these positions.
Some of the tasks performed by our PCAs include
- Communicating and collaborating with the nursing team to deliver patient care
- Providing basic patient care and comfort
- Participating in ongoing educational activities
- Completing assigned goals and following procedures
Qualifications
Education
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using standard English
- Legible writing skills
- Basic computer literacy
Certification/Professional License
- CPR certification
