Working to end the opioid crisis

Please join us for this important one-day summit to address Mississippi’s ongoing opioid addiction crisis and its impact on public health, and learn information on recent advancements for treating opioid addiction.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize an understanding of the role of healthcare providers in supporting individuals who use drugs.
  • Identify stigma reduction, harm reduction principles, and patient-centered approaches to care.
  • Demonstrate enhanced skills in building trust, providing non-judgmental care, and engaging in collaborative decision-making with patients who use drugs.
